Happy History
The idea for Happy Lamps originated in Germany in 2018 born out of a passion for innovative, atmospheric lighting. The development of the first prototypes proved more challenging than expected, mainly because of the strict safety requirements needed to make the lamps suitable for both adults and children. This led to a two-year delay.
Despite the setbacks, the team remained positive. In 2020, a breakthrough came thanks to an experienced developer with expertise in the lamp industry. After months of intensive design work, in 2021 Waldi, the first Happy Lamp, was successfully certified by Hansecontrol - fun fact: the Happy Lamps team received the certificate on Christmas Eve, they couldn't have wished for a nicer Christmas present.
Today, Happy Lamps is known for its durable, safe and high-quality products. The lamps are designed to enchant both children and adults and meet the highest safety standards. When it comes to materials, they hand-pick high-quality, durable materials. The LED lights are designed to last 40,000 hours under normal living room conditions.
All materials and components have undergone extensive laboratory testing at the renowned Hansecontrol Institute to ensure that no toxic materials or dyes are used.
With the mission #forsmilingeyes, Happy Lamps aims not only to create happy faces at the sight of their lamps, but also to give something back to charity. Since the very first Happy Lamp, a donation from every lamp sold goes to the German Children's Fund in order to make even more children happy.

Warranty
Is there a warranty on the products?
- There is a two-year warranty on the products. The Happy Lamps LED bulb that comes standard with the Happy Lamps products cannot be replaced by another bulb. Therefore we will always give you a new LED bulb if it runs out after 40,000 hours.
